'A small town girl, living out her big city dreams.'

Born and raised in the smallest midwest town. Jessica was born a hairstylist owning her own curling iron at the age of 7.  Having her first job sweeping hair off the floors at her friends local hometown,  hair salon.  So you can say hair has always been a passion. 

Straight out of high school she knew hair was in her aligned stars, being licensed in 2002.   Jessica met her husband Derek and quickly became a traveling army wife.  Giving her lots of experience in a variety of salons state to state.  This helped to  build up Jessica where she is today. Having know her dream was to be a salon owner her stars aligned once Derek retired from the active duty army, where they planned to plant their roots here in Washington state.  This is when Root'd Hair Studio was created in 2020, just shortly after the nationwide shutdown.

Jessica has a passion for leading others. As not only a salon owner and hairstylist.  Jessica served as a business coach for the past four years with  @sixfigure_stylist based out of Miilwalkee , Wisconsin.  She has mentored many stylists nationwide.  Special guest on a few podcasts to grow the community.  Seeing success in othes is one of the most rewarding parts of her position.  Whether, its in her studio mentoring her team, or bringing the next generation of hairstylists thru her associate program or coaching stylists across the globe.   

Outside of salon life you can find Jessica traveling to cool new places with her family, eating at new local restaurants, soaking up every sun ray while chasing her girls around on a hiking trail or beach.
